Noise, produced within the Munk Studio’s Young Animation programme, is a truly audiovisual work. However, sound plays the leading role here to some extent, anticipating generating of images. At the same time, the film is also a play of imagination provoked by the sound. The noises seeping into the protagonist’s flat are subject to his individual interpretation, offering random images which interact with each other. Individual sounds deprived of their visual correlations evoke images which are often remote from their sources in reality.
Young Animation programme by Munk Studio aims to stimulate production of animated films in any animation technique (including cutting-edge digital techniques). Munk Studio functions within the structures of Polish Filmmakers Association and was set up to focus exclusively on producing directorial debut films. The goal of the studio is to discover and support talented young directors in making creative, art-house cinema.
